A Community Interest Company (CIC)
Learning & Wellbeing Psychology is set up as a non-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). We have thought hard about who will benefit from our work and the impact we want it to have.
Unlike a private company, we have to measure the difference - not just the profit - we make. We measure how our service benefits children and young people, focussing on their wellbeing, learning and ability to have their voice heard in matters that effect them.
When we make a surplus, we use it to make a social impact in these three ways.
1
Interventions that respond to your needs
We focus on developing interventions using our psychological expertise that respond to the real-world problems school communities face.
2
Psychologists with enhanced skills & knowledge
Society and schools are changing- and Educational Psychologists need the therapeutic skills to make a difference. We ensure any surplus is focussed on ensuring our team has the training to help.
3
Psychologists for the future
Educational Psychology makes a difference- we are planning for the next generation of Educational Psychologists so that there continues to be psychologists with the expertise your school needs.
Our members and employees
Ownership. Participation. Commitment.
Learning & Wellbeing Psychology is governed as a co-operative which means that the people who work with us have a real stake in the enterprise.
