I'm worried about my child- what can I do?

If, as a parent or carer, you have concerns about your child’s learning or wellbeing, it can help to talk things through with their Class Teacher, as well as the school SENDCO and discuss working with an Educational Psychologist with them first. They will be able to advise you on the different options.

I've tried my child's school- what next?

If you have tried your child's school but feel that you are not getting anywhere, there  is a SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) funded by every Local Authority. They can provide impartial information, advice and support about Special Educational Needs, including helping parents know about their rights in order to help them make sure that the educational needs of their child are met. Alternatively, the Association of Child Psychologists in Private Practice (ACHIPP) provides a directory which may help you find a psychologist who specialises in work commissioned by parents.
